Science Friday had a great discussion last week about the world’s data storage capability.  In 2007, humans could store 295 exabytes (1 x 10¹⁸ bytes) of data.  That reads as 295,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes, which was about 63 Billion DVDs.  Listen to the podcast  here.
